Make your 2022 Boston Marathon more meaningful by running on the NBMA Fundraising Team!
The 2022 Boston Marathon will commemorate the race’s 126h running on Monday, April 18 with runners from all over the world participating. This year’s marathon will once again bring together people of all ages and abilities reflecting the resilience and strength of the running community. The NBMA is proud to be an official charity partner of this year's event and have a limited number of bibs available for the marathon. If you apply and are accepted to be a member of the NBMA Fundraising Team, then you will be expected to raise a minimum of $6,500 to secure your entry and to support the goals and missions of our organization.
NBMA benefits include:
- Guaranteed Race Entry
- NBMA Swag for race day
- Customized fundraising page
- Fundraising Tips and Opportunities
Note: The NBMA does not cover travel expenses to and from the race. We strongly recommend using the race’s official travel partners for making travel reservations.
Marathon entrants will need to provide proof of vaccination prior to participating in the April 18, 2022 race. To be considered fully vaccinated entrants must have completed a vaccination series of a World Health Organization-certified vaccine prior to bib number pick up (Friday, April 15). Any registered entrant who cannot provide proof of vaccination will not be allowed to participate in the race. Entries will not be deferred, refunded, or transferred to a future race. Requests for a medical exemption will be reviewed individually.
Why the National Black Marathoners Association?
The NBMA is the country's oldest and largest, non-profit organization of African-American men and women runners and walkers. Your support helps to continue to award college scholarships to deserving high school distance runners, to train ccoaches, and to recognize the accomplishments of African-American distance runners through the National Black Distance Running Hall of Fame and related activities. We want to grow the sport of distance running while improving the health and well-being of African-Americans.
Note: Completing the form does not guarantee a spot in the race and is not a binding contract. Questions? Reach out to us at NBMATeamBoston@BlackMarathoners.org.
